Cuomo signs legislation

on Tuesday, 09 October 2012.

Governor Andrew Cuomo signed legislation that will allow
licensed farm distilleries the opportunity to sell at public forums such as
local fair and farmers markets including the New York State Fair.  This law will take effect in six months and
Cuomo says that this will help farm distilleries establish a customer clientele.
Farm Distilleries are required to use mostly new York agricultural products in
their liquors and will have to have permits from the State Liquor Authority.
