Watertown man charged with possession of stolen property

A 32 year old Watertown man is in the Jefferson County Jail on a charge of criminal possession of stolen property 5th degree.  Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies report that Joseph Barney was charged Tuesday evening following a traffic stop on Line School Road in the town of Champion with allegedly possessing a title to a pickup truck which was reported stolen out of Oneida County. Barney was arraigned in Rutland Town Court and remanded to the Jefferson County Jail on $5,000 cash bail.
