MONDAY, AUGUST 6

It was another great weather weekend with only .38 inches
of rain early Sunday morning and late in the afternoon in the village. Once
again, the rain clouds split with heavy rain above and below Boonville
during the day.

Boonville Elks Lodge #2158 hosted their annual summer clambake with 220
attendees. The Elks prepared for the crowd by offering 880 dozen clams both
steamed and raw, 58 pounds of their sliced prime rib for sandwiches, countless
burgers, hotdogs and sausage sandwiches, salads, sweet corn, and emptied
eight barrels of beer. You can be sure no one went home hungry.

Congratulations to Dean and Christina Delles of Lowville on the birth
Sunday of twin daughters. Both JaeLynn and Jillian were identical, weighing 3
pounds, 14 ounces, and were 16 inches long. They will join a big brother and
sister at home.

Today Marion Wheeler of Sunset Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in
Boonville celebrates her 88th birthday, with congratulations from Sandy and
Bill Miller and family.

On Saturday's program we sent out congratulations to Lacy Kellogg and E.J.
Seelman of West Leyden on their wedding at 2 p.m. in Rome.

Today at 2:59 p.m. we reach the halfway point of summer.
