A nasty thunder, lightning and rainstorm moved throughthe area late yesterday afternoon and continued through the night. Here atthe station, rain totaled one inch with a 30 mph gust at 4:18 p.m. On theRector Road, out of Martinsburg, Rick Beyer reported 41 mph was measured at12:59 a.m.
I thank Francis Hanno Jr. of Lowville for the poem hesent about me at the radio station. He has a great sense of humor.
Three couples all celebrate 14th anniversaries today.These include Chuck and Joanne Marmon of Boonville, Brian and VickyKarpinski of Boonville, and Jerry and Tracy Millard of Potters Corners, with loveand best wishes from their families and friends.
This morning's low temperature of 47 degrees at 5:46a.m. at the radio station has been the coldest since June 15 when it was 45degrees. Lake Placid reported 43 degrees this morning.
