2 men were charged with criminal nuisance 2nd degree. Boonville Police report that 22 year old Ryan Wendt of Vernon & 26 year old Andrew Hadlock of Munnsville were charged with allegedly damaging a no parking sign on Post Street & tampering with lights on Adirondack Elementary School Property. Both subjects were arraigned in Town of Steuben Court & were remanded to the Oneida County Jail on $250 cash bail or bond.

A 36 year old illegal alien from Mexico has been convicted of trafficking fake green cards and other documentsto fellow illegals in Lewis County. The U.S. Attorney's office in Syracuse reports that Moises Velazquez-Jacobo pleaded guilty to each of the five counts lodged against him. Velazquez-Jacobo was accused of creating andselling phony green cards and Social Security cards to as many as 40 illegals while working at Marks Farms in Lowville. He was also accused of resisting arrest for biting the finger of a federal agent. Velazquez-Jacobo faces up to 20 years in prison and hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines. After his release, he could be deported to Mexico.
3 youths were detained for trespassing. Town of Webb Police report that they received a call of youthstrespassing within the closed beach area. All 3 were released with a verbal warning. The Town of Webb Police would like to remind everyone that once the beach is closed, no one can enter the fenced in area or property associated with the Town of Webb Beach, such as the diving board area. Anyone caught doing so is committing the crime of criminal trespass, which is a class-B misdemeanor. Please check with the beach staff for thehours & days that the beach is open.
A 26 year old Boonville man was charged with possession of marijuana & driving with a suspended license. Town of Webb Police report this week that Christopher Bartelotte was charged June 11th stemming from a traffic stop on State Route 28 for uninspected motor vehicle. Bartelotte was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Town of Webb Court.
New York State Police out of Carthage is asking for the public's assistance with identifying and locatingthe driver of the motorcycle involved in property damage accident that occurred on Sunday at approximately 7:30 p.m. on County Route 42, also known as West Street Road in the Town of Wilna. Troopers report that they were called to the accident scene where the operator had already left. Witnesses say the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed heading toward the Village of Carthage at the time of the accident. The motorcycle is described as an orange or bronze colored 1999 Honda CBR 600. The operator was described as being in his early 20's with short blond hair cut to a flattop style. The operator was also said to have a tattoo along his right arm that looked like leaves or a plant that went from his shoulder to his elbow. Anyone with any information on this accident is asked to contact SP Carthage at 493-1331.
A 28 year old Carthage man was charged with petit larceny. State Police report that Richard Susice was charged with allegedly stealing 14 New York state vehicle inspection stickers at Caskinette's LofinkFord in April. Susice will answer the charge in Town of Champion Court at a later date.
