Buffalo man charged with DWI after rollover

on Friday, 14 June 2013.

A Thursday afternoon rollover accident in the Town of Diana resulted in charges for a 73 year old Buffalo man.  Lewis County Sheriff's Deputies report that Alan Carmichael was traveling northeast on State Route 3 when he lost control, entered the opposite lane, exited the roadway, & the vehicle rolled onto its side.  Carmichael reportedly failed field sobriety tests at the scene & was taken to Lewis County General Hospital, where he was treated for minor lacerations & submitted to a blood test to determine blood/alcohol content.  He was charged with felony DWI & failure to keep right.  Deputies report that the DWI charge is a felony due to a previous DWI conviction within the last 10 years.  Carmichael was arraigned in Town of Diana Court & was released on his own recognizance.
