Drunk Driving law are about to get tougher in the state ofNew York after new regulations allowing the DMV to review records of alldrivers who apply to get their licenses back after they've been revoked. Any applicant who has five or more alcohol ordrug related driving convictions will be denied. Also being denied are those who have three ormore convictions, plus another serious driving offense, such as a fatal carcrash. The new regulations also delayrelicensing for those who have three or four convictions, but no seriousdriving offenses. It's estimated that 20,00drivers will have their licenses permanently revoked or delayed this year dueto these new regulations.
