Ruby A. Mazur

June 17, 1926 to February 26, 2013

Constableville- Ruby A. Mazur, 86 of the Fish Creek Road, Constableville passed away February 26, 2013 at Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility.

Ruby was born in the Town of Boonville on the family farm on the Hogsback Road on June 17, 1926, a daughter of John and Lottie Hendricks Faber. She attended Hawkinsville Union School and graduated from Boonville High School in 1944. She married Wallace Mazur on May 5, 1956 at St. Joseph’s Church, Boonville. Mr. Mazur died August 20, 2003. The couple operated the family farm on Fish Creek Road and then moved to her present home in 1957. Ruby operated a wallpaper business for many years as well as owning the Village Tavern in Constableville for two years.

Ruby was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Constableville; she enjoyed gardening, sewing and custom made Halloween costumes.

Surviving are one son, Roger Mazur, Constableville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rita & Doug McCanney, West Leyden, Gail & Robert Dunn, Oswego and Starr & Charles Sullivan, Constableville; five grandchildren, Beth, Jill and Chad McCanney and Kad and Brooklyn Sullivan and one brother, Abbie Faber, Boonville. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susie on October 2, 1965; two brothers, Casimer and Charles and two sisters, Florence Mae Henry Seamen and Reva Bienvenu.
