Patricia E. "Pat" Steria

January 7, 1947 to March 7, 2013

LOWVILLE – Patricia E. “Pat” Steria, 66, of 8135 State Route 812, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Utica.

Calling hours will be Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, where a prayer service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to Lewis County Office of the Aging, 7660 State Street, Lowville, NY 13367.

She is survived by two sons, John C. Steria of Lowville, and his children, Ashley Steria Giboo and her son Emmett Giboo, Benjamin Steria, Jacob Steria, and twins, Brandon and Kayla Tabolt; Joseph E. Steria and Laurie O’Neil of Camden, and his children, Alyssa Steria, twins, Jolene Steria and Jackie Steria, Jolene’s daughter, Danica Swem; the mother of his children, Christine Dorn Steria; a brother and sister-in-law, Maurice A. and Patricia Dekin of Indian River; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Clara M. Marolf of Carthage; Margaret A. Kohler of Castorland; Rose M. Marolf of Carthage; Alice A. and Stanley Mathys of Lowville; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving, are special friends, Darleen Leaf and Andy Simmons. She is predeceased by a brother, Claude E. Dekin, and a sister, Mable E. Emerson.

Pat was born on January 7, 1947, in Lowville, NY, a daughter of the late Everett C. and Opal Peeler Dekin. She attended Father Leo Memorial School, Croghan . A marriage to Joseph Steria, Jr. ended in divorce. She worked at the Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility as a nurse’s aide.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, scrabble, and playing cards. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and those she thought of as grandchildren.
