July 4, 1961 to July 11, 2013
Maryland/Boonville- Julie Charbonneau, 52, was a very strong and independent woman and with grace and dignity on Thursday, July 11, 2013, she lost a short and courageous battle with cancer.
Julie was born in Constableville, NY, on July 4, 1961, a daughter of Richard and Karen Roberts Charbonneau. She grew up in Boonville and graduated from Adirondack Central School in 1979 where she was a member of the National Honor Society. After graduation she was employed at Griffiss Air Force Base and then moved to Great Mills, Maryland where she was employed by ManTech as a contracting specialist. Julie enjoyed her job greatly, walks along the pier at Solomen’s Island, shopping and reading.
Surviving are her parents, Dick and Karen Charbonneau, Boonville; her maternal grandmother, Mary Roberts Pilny, Boonville; four brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry and Jeri Charbonneau, Forestport, Dana and Anne Charbonneau, Trevor and Carey Charbonneau, and Ryan and Michele Charbonneau all of Boonville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Tara and Dennis Silliman, Boonville and Jill and Kevin Powers, Troy, NY; many nieces and nephews. Julie was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Bob Roberts and paternal grandparents, Louis and Vera Charbonneau. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Lisa Katzenberger and Patty Cerro-Reehil.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, Boonville. Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 4-7 p.m.at Mills Funeral Homes, 301 Post Street, Boonville. Interment in Boonville Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

January 15, 1933 to June 30, 2013
Boonville -- Marjorie Anna Regner, 80 of the Domser Road, Talcottville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday Morning, June 30, 2013.
She was born on January 15, 1933 in Boonvile, a daughter of Walter and Audrey Laha Anna. Marge was united in marriage with James Regner who predeceased her in 1993. She was co-owner with Thelma Iseneker and Norma Pfendler in the operation of the Boonville Department store from 1989 to 1996.
Surviving are her companion, Karl Kirk, Boonville; two daughters, Claudia Karlen, Rochester, NY and Deborah Karlen Latvis, Turin; two brothers, John Anna, Moravia, NY and Arthur Anna, Tampa, FL.
Calling hours will be Tuesday evening from 6:30-8 PM at the Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post St., Boonville, with the funeral service to follow the calling hours. Privte interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

April 29, 1954 to June 23, 2013
Jeffrey E. Scott, 59, of North Vernon, Indiana, formerly of Boonville, passed away on June 23, 2013, at Jennings Healthcare Center in North Vernon.
He was born April 29, 1954, in Worchester, MA, the son of the late Ernest and Claire Scott. He married Susan Sasenbury on October 4, 1975, in Ava, NY. Jeff was a graduate of Adirondack High School in Boonville, NY. He had been a dairy farmer on the Golden Road, Boonville, for over 20 years. He moved to Indiana from Boonville in November 2002. He was employed at Beacon Industries in Seymour and then Toyota in Walesboro until 2010. He enjoyed flying kites, astronomy, airplanes and gardening.
In addition to his wife, Susan, Jeff is survived by a sister, Jennifer MacKellar of Virginia Beach, VA, four step brothers, and a half sister, Carol Ponzi of Alabama. He was predeceased by his parents.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post Street, Boonville. Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 1-3 p.m. prior the service. November 12, 1950 to June 21, 2013
Port Leyden-Norris E. Battles, 62, of Lincoln Street passed away suddenly on June 21, 2013, at Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville.
He was born in Lowville, NY, on November 12, 1950, a son of Willard and Ruth McCann Battles. He graduated from South Lewis School in 1968 and was employed at Lyons Falls Pulp & Paper from 1969 until 2001 when the mill closed. He married Linda Cobb January 25, 1969 in Port Leyden which ended in divorce. In July of 2002 he began employment with the Adirondack League Club, Old Forge, N.Y.
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, planting and nurturing his apple trees, Yankee baseball and all sports. He was a member of the Rocky Ridge Hunting Club, Moose River Road.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Jacquelyn Halladay, Greig, Christina & Samuel Fruin, Lyons Falls; one son, Ryan Battles, Port Leyden; nine grandchildren, Cierra, Hannah and Alaina Halladay, Mitchell, Marcus and Madelyn Fruin and Deanna, Camryn and Coleton Battles; five sisters and three brothers, Cheryl Battles, Arnold, Maryland, Margaret Battles, Earlysville, Virginia, Timothy Battles, Rochester, NY, Thomas Battles, Boonville, Russel Battles, Port Leyden, Martha and Lyle Robbins, Lacona, NY, Amy Battles, Hinckley and Angela and David Hill, Virginia and several nieces and nephews. Norris was predeceased by his parents.
The Eucharistic funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Port Leyden. Burial in Port Leyden Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday 4-7 p.m. at the Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post Street, Boonville. Memorial contributions can be made to the Port Leyden Ambulance.
