Lyons Falls: Pauline B. Shue, 89, of 3811 Davis Bridge Rd. died Tuesday afternoon in Boonville.
She was born January 24, 1924 in Lockport and graduated from Port Leyden High School in 1942. She was employed as a machine operator for AMF in Lowville. She married Harry Fleming October 10, 1945 in St. Martin's Rectory, Port Leyden. He died November 23, 1984. She later married Donald Shue in Lyons Falls. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Lyons Falls and attended St. Mary's Church in Constableville. She enjoyed bowling, camping, and fishing.
She is survived by her husband, Donald, a resident of Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Boonville; one son and daughter-in-law John (Kristie) Fleming, Port Leyden, five daughters and four sons-in-law; Esther (Alan) Houck, Dawn Bell, Susan (Robert) Manning all of Lyons Falls; Rhonda and (Karle) Hart of Boonville; Paula (Robert) Hoch of Martinsburg; two stepchildren and their spouses Rose and Tony McIntyre of Port Leyden and Lawrence and Marie Shue of Old Forge. One sister and brother-in-law Sydney and Edward Penczek of Boonville; 20 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by 3 children, Reginald Fleming, Howard Fleming and Irene French; two sons-in-law David French and Timothy Bell. She is also predeceased by 5 sisters and two brothers, Arlene Ossant, Betty Rimiller, Beatrice Adams, Esther Munger, Phyllis Atkins and William and Melvin Mashaw.
A mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday at 9:30 at St. Mary's Church, Constableville with Rev. Lawrence Marullo, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Lyons Falls. A luncheon will follow in Lyons Falls Auxiliary Building at the Lyons Falls Park.
Calling hours will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to the Lyons Falls Fire Dept. Ambulance Fund. The Callaghan Funeral HOme, Port Leyden is entrusted with the arrangements.
